Happy Pi Day!

What's your baking party trick?

I love to make pies, but they can take a long time from start to finish. I make tons of pie dough all at once, portion it out and freeze it. When the urge strikes, I just pull the dough from the freezer and half my job is done already!

What's your happy place?

Joshua tree is my happy place right now. There's just something so special about the landscape out there.

What do you do to make yourself feel special?

Make amazing food and share it with others. Homemade brownies or roast chicken, doesn’t matter, as long as it tastes amazing.

How do you go out of your way to take care of yourself?

Time with friends, which includes my family. Spending time with your tribe helps heal the soul. But I’m also a bit of an introvert, so sometimes, I just like to tune everything out and go enjoy the outdoors all by myself.

What inspires you?

I’m usually most inspired by anything visually stunning, but inspiration can come from anything. It could stem from that magical moment just before sunset, an odd piece of artwork, a laughter filled moment with friends, or an angst filled rock song.  Capturing emotion through our senses is what inspires me.

What’s your morning routine?

Do I really have to admit to slumping around in my robe till noon most days?

What’s your favorite quote?

"Remember who you are" - Mufasa

Who is your fictional hero?

Katniss Everdeen or Spongebob Squarepants...depends on my mood

What’s your favorite book?

Anthem by Ayn Rand

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you want?

Fresh water, perfectly ripe peaches, and a boat

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I would like an army of invisible clones to handle all of my multitasking needs.  There would be a chief clone taking notes direct from my brain, then immediately delegating to the invisible army.  I think that’s more than one...oh well!
