Depressed Cake Shop London Pop-up

  • Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre (map)

This coming Mental Health Awareness Week, join us for Soul Relics Museum's first-ever pop-up photo exhibition at the SGDP art space in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience in London!

Come and explore the objects and accompanying stories relating to contributors' times of struggle with mental health issues over wine & cheese, and cakess!!

Soul Relics is a new concept, a new way of storytelling and story-receiving, a new narrative of collective self-exploration and memories. We believe this can foster better understandings of people’s emotions, strengths and resilience and seeks to look beyond the medicalised narrative.

The event:

- The stories

- Wheel of Wellbeing (from South London and Maudsley Foundation Trust) (https://www.wheelofwellbeing.org/)

- Cake sale - Depressed Cake Shop pop-up (http://depressedcakeshop.com) Proceeds will go to McPin Foundation, a mental health research charity

- Wine & Cheese!

- Pianist
